Saturday lunch: a calm patio
After a rest at your lodging or home, consider a verified outdoor patio during an off-peak hour. Milo publishes a policy for leashed, well-behaved dogs on its patio; other directory listings should be confirmed directly before visiting.
Choose a table away from the entrance, keep your dog beside you, and bring a bowl and settle mat. Take food to go if your dog cannot relax.

Sunday morning: an outdoor Waco landmark
Waco Mammoth National Monument welcomes leashed pets in outdoor areas, while buildings and the dig shelter remain off limits. Confirm current National Park Service guidance, bring another person if anyone wants to visit indoor areas, and never leave a dog in the car.
Magnolia Market at the Silos also permits leashed dogs in some outdoor areas with specific restrictions. It can become crowded, so a quiet neighborhood walk may be a better choice for dogs who dislike close quarters.
